Applying to Van Deene Elementary Magnet is simple! We welcome students from all areas of Los Angeles who are eager to learn, create, and perform in our Arts, Media, Music & Entertainment (AMME) program.
🎯 Steps to Apply
1️⃣ Go to choices.lausd.net
This is LAUSD’s online application portal for all magnet programs.
2️⃣ Sign In or Create a Parent Account
If you’re new to the Choices system, follow the on-screen prompts to set up your account.
3️⃣ Search for “Van Deene Elementary Magnet.”
You can find us under Arts, Media, Music & Entertainment Magnet – Van Deene Elementary.
4️⃣ Select Our Program and Submit Your Application.
Be sure to review your choices carefully before submitting.
📅 Open Enrollment Period
Applications for the 2025–2026 school year are accepted from October 1 – November 15, 2025. Families will be notified of placement results in March 2025.
